I've worn the Brooks Addiction Walker for
several years. I work in a grocery store and I am on my feet
for hours. I suffered from heel spurs for many years and
these shoes were recommended for their excellent support and
stability. Between them and my custom orthotics I am now
I am a bit older and have had some difficulty with my feet,
especially after/during exercise. I love these shoes. They
have allowed my feet to be virtually pain free. I injured
myself on an Arc Trainer last year and had to be put in an
aircast for a bit. After a few weeks of wearing the cast, I
began wearing these sneakers every day...they are truly
amazing. Right now I have one pair that is fairly new that I
wear every day and another on reserve! Love them.
I returned this shoe ONLY because of the way it
looked...kind of chunky. I like a sleeker shoe, even if it
is a sneaker. On the other hand, this shoe is so well-made,
and fits so well. Great support for weak feet. Not as
light-weight as I would like, but if one does not mind the
chunky look, this is a fine sneaker shoe.
The Brooks Addiction Walker for women is an excellent shoe
for walking particularly in cold weather as the leather
keeps feet warmer than the usual mesh in walking shoes. The
entire shoe is comfortable for those who walk extensively
and it wears quite well. One negative is that there is
minimal traction in snow or on ice.
I had been having problems with plantar facitis in both of
my feet. Brooks sneakers were recommended. I purchased this
walker and found it to be very comfortable. I wear my custom
orthotics with these and my feet feel MUCH better. The black
color makes it less obvious I am wearing sneakers. I will
buy these again.
